mandeeland is a crazy land

This blog has been created for a blog class that I am taking at UCO. In it, I will reflect upon, what will surely become, the craziest semester of my academic career. This semester, I will attempt a series of scholastic, social, and filial acrobatics as I simultaneously try to take a full-time graduate schedule, teach one class, write a thesis, attend a confrence, take part in social functions, orchestrate a children's theatre camp, graduate and apply for jobs, coddle and frolick with my husband, eight year-old, four cats, and two dogs, and...oh yeah, have a baby. That's right: a baby. Some people go to Cancun on spring break; I give birth. I am due March 19. Enjoy the ride.

Haha-your entry cracked me up. I'm a fellow pet-lover-I wish I could have an endless amount. Yay for a baby. I don't have any kids yet-but I want a big family, and I know I'll be a working mom so it'll be interesting to see how it all develops. Let's go for March 11th as the due date-that's my birthday. You'll love having a pisces as a child!

Wow. Just reading your post made me feel better about my schedule. I'm a busy person with work and school full-time but I don't have to deal with a hubby or children (yet). This semester should actually be my easiest, so I'm going to keep my fingers crossed. Unlike JRussell, I say you hold out until April 1 to have the baby. That's my birthday and it's a diamond birthstone. What could be better?

Mandee,

Have you considered writing these few months of your life as a stage play? As I read about all of the different activities in your life, I saw scenes on a stage. Picture it. I would definetly go see that.

Have a great day!

I just hope this girl arrives any time on spring break. That would be very convenient of her.

I can't afford diamonds, but I do love my friends who are Pisces--so sensative and artsy they are.

Mike, I don't know that anyone would want to see the stage adaptation of my life. It would definately be a comedy of errors. But, maybe there is something there. I will put it on my to do list. By the end of this semester, I will post a scene from this hypothetical serio-comedy.
